RDIF says process of Sputnik V approval in EU positive

MOSCOW, Aug 4 (PRIME) -- The process of approval of Russian vaccine against the COVID-19 Sputnik V in the European Medicines Agency (EMA) is positive and professional, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said in the Telegram channel Wednesday when head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that the agency had not received sufficient proof of safety of the vaccine.

“Politicized statements of official representatives of the European Commission that they lack information about Sputnik V vaccine and the issues of its safety cause regret,” RDIF said.

“Several E.U. representatives earlier said there was no need in the Sputnik V vaccine in the E.U., and spread incorrect information about the Russian vaccine that was many times denied by the RDIF and the Gamaleya center. The process of approval of the Sputnik V vaccine in the EMA is positive and professional.”
